I’m originally from Canada, but have spent most of my life in California. I migrated up to Nor Cal over 20 years ago for college then medical school and now work as an emergency medicine doctor at San Francisco General Hospital and an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF. I love my job working in the ER and feel lucky teaching cool classes like wilderness medicine. I’ve been active in sports all my life; swimming, gymnastics and track when I was younger, but in college I discovered mountain biking and and the amazing joy of playing in the beautiful outdoors. That was it for me. I raced cross country in my earlier years, but now as a doc, a mom to an cool little 7 year old rider and a wife to my equally obsessed-with-biking husband Mark, I tend to just ride my bike more for fun with an occasional race thrown in Apart from biking, I love to snowboard, kitesurf, do yoga, and travel to crazy places all around the world (often to bike).
