I've been riding a bike as long as I can remember. I'm one of five siblings, so if my brothers and sister wanted to get anywhere growing up in Marin, it was usually on our own two wheels. My first bike was a green Schwinn with a banana seat and an orange flag that the CHP gave me when I graduated from bike safety class. Today I ride all different kinds of bikes but my first love is a mountain bike. I won Sea Otter in my first year racing and was immediately hooked. My husband and I have two young children. We enjoy taking them out to China Camp and up Mt. Tam so that they'll develop the same love for the trails that we have. I'm a school administrator and I helped start a mountain bike club at my middle school because nothing gets me more excited than watching a new rider get stoked about mountain biking. I look forward to meeting more female riders who enjoy the trails too. Single track or fire road--there's no such thing as a bad trail and never enough time to explore them!
